Now has been released Russian film Stilyagi (2008)
I've asked some russians who were young at the 50s and were stilyagos themselves. According to them there are some historical unaccuracies in this new film. For example, the chuviha's (female stilyaga) skirts were very narrow and NOT wide as in the movie. Wide skirts came to USSR later, in the beginning of the 60s. Because of the iron courtin all new fashions used to appear 8-10 years later to Soviet. Even dance is a bit of a different epoque.
Dunno if it is that important...

clip 1- a scene of a Komsomol meeting. At the end when the komsomol leader accused him for being a scam and traitor stilyaga walked to the podium and gave back his Komsomol membership card, turned around and left.

clip 2. Jazz and Rock'n'roll were forbidden music in the USSR at 50s, since it was declared as "bourgoise decadance" and "bestialic grin of american imperialism".
Enthusiasts were buying vinyl records from foreigners (as you see russian guy had been arrested for this awful 'crime') and then duplicated them onto X-Ray film .
